How did you come up with those statistics?

So you've seen the numbers. Now let's explain them.

So all of our job statistics are taken from The Graduate High Flier Report for 2015, which you can find at High Fliers

All of our student statistics have been taken from the UKCISA and our Tier 2 Statistics from the latest report into International Students by PwC and London First

How many International Students are there?

So who am I up against?

According to UKCISA there are 435,495 International Students currently studying in Higher Education ( Batcherlors, Masters and PhD) - Figures Last Modified 18th May 2015

310,190 of these are non-EU  So they need a Tier 2 or Tier 5 Visa to stay and work in this country.

Graduation Crowd

Seems a bit crowded.

How many Tier 2 Visas are given each Year?

What are my chances?

On this subject numbers vary.

According to the UKCISA , 4,175 Tier 2 Visas were given out in 2013.

PwC, in a report about the impact of international students on the London economy, released a report in collaboration with London First on the 18th of May 2015.

They this number in 2014 as approximately 5,000.

So if we assume that every international student wants to stay and work in the UK.

What are your chances of getting a Tier 2 Visa?

Best Case: 5,000 Tier 2 Visas/ 310,090 Non-EU Students = 1.612% Chance of getting a Tier 2 Visa

Worst Case: 4,175 Tier 2 Visas/ 310,090 Non-EU Students = 1.346% Chance of getting a Tier 2 Visa
